On Thursday, 23 July, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez gave a speech for the ages on the floor of the House of Representatives. This has to be our video of the day. This 30-year-old rising star of progressive politics took her stand against mysogeny and abuse, for herself and for every other woman in America, in an eloquent retort to a colleague who reportedly called her a f****** b**** on the steps of the Capitol. He later made an "apology" on the floor of the House that only made matters worse. AOC has had enough of that kind of attitude and resolved not to take it any more. She called out her fellow Congressperson, Rep. Ted Yoho, on the floor of the House. No one recently has stood up for the right of all people to be treated with dignity and respect better than AOC did this week.
